A financial or insurance advisor's first meeting is built on trust, and a scruffy printed card with an outdated title undermines that before you've said a word. A digital business card keeps your credentials current and turns every conversation into a follow-up you can act on. Use this checklist to set yours up properly.
Build the card
- Name, title and firm. A professional photo, your full name, and the firm you represent.
- Your registration or licence number. Add it in the About text or a text section so a prospective client can see you are licensed, exactly as you would on a printed card.
- Your specialisms. Life, health, wealth or corporate — state plainly what you advise on so the right enquiry reaches you.
- A direct enquiry channel. A WhatsApp number or calendar link for a first consultation.
- Firm website and LinkedIn. Link out to fuller credentials, fund fact sheets or client testimonials.
- Google Reviews. If you meet clients face to face, reviews build confidence before you've spoken.
Put it in the right order
In the Layout tab, put your enquiry channel and firm link above social proof so a client who wants to act can do so in one tap. See reorder and hide sections.
Share it at every touchpoint
- Client meetings and consultations. Show the QR code on your phone, or tap an NFC card for a one-tap handover.
- Networking events and conferences. The same tap or scan works whether you're in a boardroom or an exhibition hall.
- Proposal documents and email signatures. Add your card link so every document you send carries your current details.
- Reception or desk. Display the QR code where a walk-in client can reach you without asking.
Keep it professional and compliant
A MyInfo card is a public page — keep it to information you would put on a printed card. Never include a client's name, policy number or account details. If a card should only reach specific contacts, such as a private client list, lock it with a six-digit access code on a Premium card. See privacy and access.
Capture every enquiry
On a Premium card, Exchange Contact lets a prospective client share their name and number directly, landing in your lead inbox instead of a note you might lose. Export leads into a spreadsheet or your CRM for structured follow-up.
Keep the whole team on brand
If you work within a firm, create one shared theme so every advisor's card carries the same colours and layout. Update it once and it updates across the team. See more on the financial and insurance advisors page.
Before you go live
- Open your card on your phone and check every button, especially your enquiry channel.
- Ask a colleague to scan your QR code or tap your NFC card.
- Confirm your registration number, title and firm are current before your next meeting.
Frequently asked questions
Can I show my regulatory registration or licence number on my card?
Yes — add it in the About text or a text section, exactly as you would on a printed business card.
Can our firm keep every advisor's card on brand?
Yes. Each advisor keeps their own card and address, and a shared theme applies the firm's colours and layout across the whole team from one place.
